I like this trade for Golden State and Minny but I don't know if Orlando does this. Considering that both Fournier and Teague are expirings (Fournier has a player option after this year - which I think he'll decline), I would rather have Fournier.

I think attaching a pick next to Teague would give the Magic a greater incentive to do this trade.

Fournier will opt in. I doubt any team gives him the same amount he’s earning now.

Would rather have Orlando directly offer Fournier, Iwundu (or Augustine) a unprotected first for Dlo to GS.

Do you really think Russell on a max is a better contract than three years of Covington at $12 mil? Plus MIN throws in an unprotected 1st?

It’s unlikely this summer that MIN would have gambled on a young kid growing into a max deal if they weren’t sending out the other young kid they hoped would grow into a max deal (Wiggins) . If Russel fails, and Wiggins is on the books, that’s fournlong years of franchise-crushing obligations, which almost guarantee Towns would ask to be dealt.
