I get it, Sixers aren't trading Embiid

However,

Sixer, Suns, Thunder, Wizards


Sixers get: D. Ayton, Cameron Johnson, and 1st round pick from Suns, Gallinari from Thunder, D. Bertans from Washington

Suns Get: Embiid

Thunder get: Tyler Johnson (Expiring big contract), Zhaire Smith, and the protected 1st round pick back from sixers (will turn into 2 future 2nd round picks)

Wizards get: Mike Scot, Raul Neto, Suns 1st round pick


Why each team does this:

Sixers: put a run and shoot team around Ben Simmons

Suns - get arguably best center in league for pick and roll with Booker. only really give up Ayton (booker questioning his will to win), Johnson (nice player), 2 1st rounders, and the bad expiring contract of tyler johnson

Thunder: swap out bad contract and get zhaire smith and draft picks back

Wizards: going nowhere - get a Sun first rounder for Bertans (take on Mike scott for next year and raul neto for this yr)

Only way sixers even think about trading embiid is is they become convinced he can't co-exist with Simmons and choose Simmons going forward (a reasonable choice given embiid's injury history)
But if that happens I don't think Ayton would solve the problem of clogging up the paint. they need an outside presence like Lopez has made himself into in Milwaukee to even consider a deal.

Again another overrated player. What has embiid done beside rack up individual stats. Look at the team they have, yet they're sitting at 5 or 6 in the east. Embiid is always hurt, and no way he last another 6 or 7 years in the nba. If ayton gets traded its going to be for towns. Not a guy who's more known for running his mouth in front of the camera.
