I’m not sure Spellman has any value. If they can get a second rounder for him, that would be great. I think they’ll just have to buy both Spellman and Evans out to free those roster spots. I don’t know why the Wolves have refused to even give Spellman a look, but there is something wrong there.

Minnesota already has pick 33. I don't think they would want another 2nd round pick.

Second round picks can be put onto a contracts, their contract is not guaranteed, or you can trade it maybe move up from 17.

True, or a 2021 second from a lottery team would be fair. Carl is correct to worry about roster crowding.

I think Omari Spellman is a better prospect than most anyone a team could expect for a second rounder. Spellman just had some extremely bad luck being traded to Minnesota, who only plays one big, and Rosas wants to give back up center minutes to his undrafted find, Naz Reid. Spellman was angry he wasn’t playing in front of Reid because he’s better, and he’s probably right.
