@Buckets. I don't know for a fact. But I do take into consideration how many players signed as a FA to play in Chicago over the last 3 years. Outside of resigning LaVine, what has Chicago done in free agency in the last 5 years? This suggests that Chicago is not seen as a "great destination" by free agents. This fuels my skeptism about Ball WANTING to sign to play in Chicago.

I would think he would be wanting to get a S&T to Clippers or Lakers more than Chicago.
