ummmmm. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar probably has something to say about that.
Wilt Chamberlain definitely has something to say. Averaged 30pts 22rebs FOR HIS CAREER! Only player that I can think of that averaged 50pts for a complete season.
Now you can try to make the argument that KD and MJ could get their own shot in the "modern" basketball while Chamberlain had to have the ball passed to him on the block. But being on the block also makes it easier for defenses to double-team Wilt so that pretty much cancels.
