Jalen Duren can intrigue particularly the Charlotte Hornets, and if he shoots up the draft boards with his work outs, a possible deal with the Hornets and Sacramento could be worked out.

Hornets receive :- pick no: 7 ( Duren ), Barnes, harkless, Terence Davis, 2022 second round pick ( 37 )

Sacramento :- Hayward, pick no: 13 ( Johnny Davis ), Kai Jones, 2022 second round pick ( 45 - Bryce McGowan ) .

Hornets can use Barnes as a 4 next to Miles Bridges, Barnes doesn't take touches away from Ball or Rozier and can shoot the 3 at a clip above 40%.
Duren can be developed to an absolute monster next to Ball, and can be afforded the growth time to develop.
Terence Davis is a viable option at SG than Oubre come the playoffs time.
Harkless gives the much needed defence and leadership off the bench.

Sacramento doesn't look like a team looking to develop talent at the moment, we might see a major deal but if not taking on Hayward looks reasonable next to fox and ox. He could aid fox with his playmaking like Bogi ( sg ) did the seasons prior, and also play off ox like McDermott did while at Indiana.
Johnny Davis doesn't jump out as a prospect that would appeal a lot for the lottery teams, but I'm all in for his clutch play, given how kings lack someone to take that final shot, his speed would excite fox and he could play both in the first and second unit and the added advantage of passing.
Kai Jones didn't get much opportunities with Hornets last season and i don't see it improved unless he's playing next to Plumlee or a possible trade target ( Turner ) .
He isn't a full time rim protector and can play off cuts, and thus ideally fits next to Sabonis.

Maybe the numbers aren't right here ( Fredman help me out here ), but making a deal of this kind is a bigger win for Hornets than for the kings, and i mean it as a kings fan.

Seems like the Kings are losing value

7 > 13
Barnes > Hayward (healthier and much better contract as well)

I don’t think Jones makes up for that difference.

Right now yes, but healthy Hayward is much more a help than healthy Barnes, but Yes. it's too much a risk to take as well.

Yea, I am not feeling this one at all. If someone is looking to get Duren @ #7, much rather go with San Antonio trading up from #9.

Also, I would almost call Charlotte drafting Mark Williams @ #13 a lock.
