PHI: R Rubio, T Black, 1-3 protection removed from Laker's pick

MIN: J Calderon and J Okafor

LAL: N Noel

PHI gets Rubio who is a good defender and can see the floor very well, a backup center and the Laker's pick regardless of where it falls this year.

MIN gets an offensive big man to play with KAT. KAT can spread the floor for Okafor and play D and would fit very well with Okafor. They also get a veteran PG to bridge the gap before Dunn is ready to take over.

LAL get a young defensive big man who's athletic and can grow and develop with the young core.

Minnesota has no need for Okafor. They need defense, not offense.

Id trade Clarkson for Noel at this point. We keep falling in the standings (only 2 games ahead of worst in the west) so we would have another real chance at keeping our pick some wouldn't remove the protection.

Lakers can't risk giving up a top 3 pick for a guy they may not want to match, if other offers are too high.

MIN has no need for Okafor

I actually just hate this deal for philly. We give up our back up center and his back up. for a absolutely terrible player in black and Rubio who doesn't fit our system with Simmons.

Removal of the protection is interesting but it's just a waste for me. I'll just wait until it's unprotected next year worst case scenerio. No worries.

Sixers will find a better value deal then giving up both bigs for a pick that may not even fall there anyway and even if it does we have an unprotected pick next year and lakers don't look any better to me.

Laker fans Noel will stay, Okafor will be traded to either Chicago, Boston, or Portland. so you can keep T. Black (a hustle player at best) unless yall are going to give up one of your young nucleus.

LAL will not remove that protection and give up on a potential top 3 selection with how awesome this class is.

MIN as stated above needs defense not offense next to KAT.

PHI would be out of their minds to trade for Rubio as he is a horrible fit next to Simmons ( We need shooters ) and that $14mil a year is way too high of a salary to justify bringing him off the bench. Just no.
