The Cavs get Bazemore and Dedmond

The Hawks get Deng, Shumpert, Zizic, Osman, Zubac, the Lakers 2020 1st top 5 protected, the Cavs 2021 first top 10 protected and a second from both

The Lakers get Frye(exp) and Bellineli (exp)

None of those players help the Hawks, and the draft choices are too far down the road to be valuable. Looks like the Cavs dump unwanted bodies and the Lakers dump Deng.

Shumps expiring will have some value next year, Osman, Zizic and Zubac are all decent prospects to throw into their rebuilding efforts, the Hawks will be rebuilding for atleast the next 4 years so the picks will be fine and having extra picks coming out of a rebuild have worked pretty well for teams like the Cavs, Boston, and Philly. This would give them 7 firsts in the next 4 drafts. They end up with 3 good rebuilding assets 2 decent ones and 2 low end ones for players that don't look to be in their long term plans and use of their capspace, which is going to be hard to use for the next 3 years any way and get out from under their worst contract to boot.

maybe Atlanta could get better picks for taking bad contracts
Cleveland should accept a lesser protection (top 5)
