Cavs get Paul George

Thunder get Iman Shumpert, Channing Frye, and Brooklyn's first round pick

The Cavs aggressively pursued PG over the summer as LBJ made it clear he'd love to play with the two way star. In this deal they sacrifice the valuable Nets pick but land a fantastic player while not having to part with any major rotation players. IT/PG/LBJ/Love/TT would be an incredible lineup, but with the Cavs depth they can go with several different lineups and matchup with anyone. Bron and George would likely decide to stay in Cleveland long term to play with each other, giving the Cavs another big reason to pull the trigger.

The Thunder have had a very slow start to the season and are at risk of losing George for nothing in free agency. In this deal they get a chance at landing an elite prospect in the 2018 draft. Presti has an eye for talent so this pick could be a great jump start for the franchise. Frye is an expiring contract and Shump comes off the books next summer so they'd save money as well.

not sure if its enough for PG since he's still a top 15 player when he's clicking. He's just lost right now with the rest of the Thunder. its close though since PG may leave and is a possible half season rental but I would be surprised if Thunder gave up on their trio this season.

So it's basically the Brooklyn pick for George.
Right now that pick is No. 10.

Don't think the Cavs trade ghe Brooklyn pick for George, since he can and will walk after the season along with LBJ and probably IT also.
So, it would be a short time rental to try and win it all. If they don't win it all, they are basically screwed because they may not be able to draft an impact player without the pick.

Yumbo, while there is risk involved if they trade for George, why would they all walk? To go play with a worse supporting cast in LA and make less money? If the Cavs can go out and get Cousins or George, where can Lebron go that would have a better supporting cast? I'm not sure how you could argue that playing beside Kuzma, Ball and Ingram would get him and George closer to a championship than IT, Love, Crowder, Korver, Smith and Thompson.

I. shumpert, and Frye, aren't much Value, BRK, is not looking like a last place team, no way anyone outside Ohio sees this as fair.

Ohio, is not California. L. A. Has appeal, and George is from there. OKC experiment not over just yet.
