Spurs are far enough under the cap that they can sign LaVine outright, without having to do a sign and trade.

carl006 is right, but why would LaVine want to sign with the Spurs? biggest draw is Pops, who is only a season or two at most from retiring. he will have his opportunities to get paid and compete for a chip.

Lavine has already said he wants to play with Murray. Spurs are not trading anything to Bulls. Let alone Vassell.
