Bulls Trade: Lavine, Carter, Portis, 2019 1st round pick (proj top 5)

Pelicans Trade: Anthony Davis

Bulls get superstar that they have been looking for. Can pair with Lauri in front court. Chase Kyrie or Kawhi in offseason.

Pelicans get a good core to build around. Carter projects to be an all star in the future, Lavine score with the best of them, and Portis is a solid piece. Combine this with 2 first round picks likely near the top 5, and pelicans would be well on their way to a succesfull rebuild.

Is this enough for Davis? Would Bulls have to give up Lauri?

Feels like more of a pre-draft trade. If the Bulls pick was set at top 5, I could see this happening.

Davis/ Markkanen is a very interesting frontcourt, but that's really all they would have at that point and Davis likely leaves ASAP. I think they should build with the two big guys they already have either use the pick on a guy like Morant or Barrett, or trade the pick for futures the night of the draft. if they wind up with #1, they face an interesting situation. You have the obvious #1 at a position you have two good young kids coming up. Do you take him and trade one of the other two, trade the pick, keep all three?
