1) The Knicks already have a bad rep around the league so rescinding the contract would make that image ever worse for future Free Agents.

2) A significant overpay by the Knicks as they are giving up all their young talent except Robinson.

3) OKC take this trade in a heartbeat, they would be set up for the next 10 year with this sort of influx of young talent and draft picks in their 2 superstar trades.

Yes,

A) Knicks are devoid of a second star, still would not be overly competitive.

B) Don’t think Russ has the personality to be a true leader.
