If Celtics get #1 and Sixers get #3 and #4

Celtics
Trade: #1, Bradley
Receive: Butler

Sign: Hayward

Thomas/Rozier
Hayward/Smart
Butler/Brown
Olynyk/Yabusele
Horford/Zizic

Sixers
Trade: #3, #4, Okafor
Receive: #1, #16, Bradley

Draft: Fultz, Justin Jackson

Fultz/McConnel
Bradley/Henderson
Jackson/Covington
Simmons/Saric
Embiid/Splitter

Bulls
Trade Butler, #16
Receive: #3, #4, Okafor

Rebuild with two top five picks and a young post scorer

Bpd0003

1.) 16 May 2017 09:20:56
No need for the Sixers to be in this trade.

The Bulls better take the 1 st pick and Bradley.

2.) 16 May 2017 10:57:29
I thought of this if bullds wanna build around jimmy wade looked at Denver b4 signing w/ bulls maybe trade wade jerian grant and sign trade Nikola to nuggets for Garry Harris wilson chandler and gallo sign grade to bulls plus bulls 2019 1st and throw in couple 2nds
Then trade Lopez to the blazers for few of there 1st this draft draft Justin Patton.

3.) 16 May 2017 12:48:25
Gasupo, the Bulls have Butler locked up for 2 more years. Why trade him for a mediocre return?

4.) 16 May 2017 15:43:37
I like Butler a lot, but I don't know if I'd move the #1 for him. Everything people are saying about Fultz has me excited.

That's a great trade for the 76ers I think. They get the two things they need the most, but instead of one of those guys being a kid (like if they drafted Ball and Monk for example), they get a veteran presence, and quiet leader in Bradley. I think he's shown this postseason how big of an impact he has on the game. the same thing he showed us last year with his absence unfortunately.

I don't know if you need the three way trade though, and honestly, I'd pull the Celtics out of it. If the 76ers are willing to move both the picks, you move 3, 4 and Okafor for Butler and 16. You get your star, and you still have a pretty good pick at 16.

They're talking about playing Simmons at PG.

Simmons/
Butler/
Covington/
Saric/
Embiid/

Not a bad starting 5.

Bulls probably could wind up with something like

Fox (4)/
Wade/
Jackson (3)/
Portis/
Lopez/

That's a nice, relatively young group. I don't know if the Bulls do it for just one pick, but if I'm the 76ers I try to do one of the current year and a 1st next year, taking a PG or Jackson with the pick kept this season.

5.) 17 May 2017 17:20:31
The Bulls had their chance at that pick at the trade deadline. No chance they offer it now. If it were the 2nd, 3rd or 4th, the deal would be done by now.

Trade Smart, Crowder, Olynyk, 2018 Brooklyn Pick, 2nd round pick for Butler

Bring Over Yabusele, Zizic

Thomas/Fultz
Bradley/Brown
Butler/Green
Millsap/Yabusele
Horford/Zizic

1.) 01 May 2017 21:20:48
Way, way, way too much for Butler. Can't see him coming to Boston. Both Ainge and the Chicago front office are too tough to deal with.

2.) 01 May 2017 21:21:25
No no no that is way too much for Jimmy Butler. Celtics are better off keeping their depth and building through draft, maybe signing someone like J. Green from memphis with cap space.

3.) 01 May 2017 23:22:16
I don't think that is way too much for Butler especially after watching his play against them in the past series, if anything I'd argue that isn't enough to convince the Bulls to deal him. Their performance in the postseason prior to Rondo injury will likely have them thinking way too optimistically.

Not a fan of signing Millsap either. That Millsap and Horford front court has already proven to be uneffective vs. Lebron since both are about his size. They'd also be committing a lot of money to guys on wrong side of 30. I think they should move Horford to pf and get a more natural center who can rebound.

4.) 02 May 2017 00:20:23
Celtics win a round and fans high on their horses again lmao.

5.) 02 May 2017 00:25:21
LMAO. J Green.

I can see Butler coming here. More now than before, PG is not coming here, Melo hopefully is going to the Clippers and Butler is a more complete player than Crowder.

I see Butler and Drummond wearing green next year at some point.

6.) 02 May 2017 00:43:39
The value seems right for Butler. The Bulls aren't in a position where they have to trade Butler.

7.) 02 May 2017 06:07:34
Jaw457 - The Horford-Millsap front court had nothing to do with losing to LeBron. It was the lack of wing defenders. Crowder and Butler, in this scenario, would be gaurding LeBron. The Celtics back court would be much better at every position than the Hawk's backcourt when they lost to the Cavs (Thomas>Teague, Bradley>Korver, Crowder>Bazemore) . Secondly, Horford is a center, not a power forward. People just assume since he is a little undersized that he is playing out of position, when he really isn't. Is he a great rebounder for a center? No, but he makes up for it in floor spacing and passing. If the Celtics has Millsap on their team right now I think they would beat the Cavs in 6 games.

8.) 02 May 2017 15:39:14
I don't know why anyone would look at Butler's display in that series and have it change their mind on him at all. He was fairly inconsistent, took a lot of dumb shots, and made some outstandingly tough plays where you never thought the ball would drop. That's him to a T, and has been for a while.

1.) 31 Mar 2017 22:46:41
I think philly needs to give more to get Bradley. But as a sixer fan, Ill drive okafor and anderson to the airport to make this trade.

2.) 01 Apr 2017 02:51:00
If I'm Chicago I'd want more from Philly or just not make them part of the trade. Prettt solid return for Chicago and I think it's the right move for them to deal Butler.

3.) 01 Apr 2017 14:36:31
Boston is not trading a starter, two other rotation players and next year's Brooklyn pick for Butler. Best you'd get out of Ainge is the 2018 pick and Bradley. Brown is not going anywhere.

04 Mar 2017 16:09:06
Next deadline trade.

Boston drafts Fultz
Signs Hayward, Greg Monroe

Fultz plays really well and shows that he is their pg of the future. Rather than have to max a 30 year old Isaiah Thomas in the summer of 2018, Boston trades him.

Thomas/Bradley/Nets 2018 1st for Butler

Fultz/Rozier
Butler/Smart
Hayward/Crowder
Horford/Olynyk
Monroe/Zeller/Zizic

Bpd0003

1.) 04 Mar 2017 16:28:36
Monroe and Horford would be terrible together.

2.) 04 Mar 2017 17:16:55
Monroe isn't the right type of center for Celtics and depending on whether he declines his player option or not he may not even be a FA.

I think it will be difficult for Fultz to "prove his is the pg of the future" by coming off the bench. And if they do start him over Thomas its a signal to the rest of the league they may not want Thomas anymore and his value tanks more than it already has now that he'll be in the final year of his contract. Bradley is also in the final year of his contract so I doubt Bulls would accept this offer when both Thomas and Bradley will be unrestricted FA and likely command sizable contracts on the open market from talent-deprived teams willing to overpay for two very good players.

I'm not saying Thomas and Bradley won't have any value but not sure it would be enough to get Butler.

3.) 05 Mar 2017 11:02:27
@Bpd0003
Not confronting you in any way (I actually liked your trade idea), but just out of curiosity: you are a Bulls fan, aren't you? I highly doubt any Celtics fan would consider having Zeller back next year, let alone have him playing ahead of Zizic. As a matter of fact, you won't find many Celtics fans who'd prefer to have Monroe over a defensive/ shot-blocking 5 (which Zizic may end up proving himself to be anyway) .

01 Mar 2017 20:23:06
Embiid out for the year. The Sixers should purposefully lose every game left in the schedule and try to get the #2 pick. Then hope the Lakers pick falls to #4.

Draft Ball and Monk

Ball/McConnell
Monk/Stauskis
Covington/Anderson
Simmons/Saric
Embiid/Okafor

Bpd0003

1.) 01 Mar 2017 21:25:41
It'll be hard to move down in the standings as most teams at the bottom aren't exactly trying to win games either. Luckily due to the NBA lottery 76ers don't have to have second worst record to get 2nd pick. They also have over a 50% chance of getting Lakers pick even if they finish with the 3rd worst record.

2.) 02 Mar 2017 00:50:03
I always hear "try to lose purposely", and it's ridiculous. This isn't the movie Major League where guys get fined for good play. Pro players have some semblance of pride, they're not going to tank games.

3.) 02 Mar 2017 06:31:49
I feel covington and andersons strengths and weaknesses are too similar for philly to keep both.

4.) 02 Mar 2017 13:27:34
Sixers are a joke. Just lose forever right.

5.) 02 Mar 2017 14:01:52
I don't really see a spot for Anderson. I haven't been impressed so far with any part of his game.

The Cavs came out of the trade deadline the biggest winners. Boogie Cousins stayed in the west, the Celtics didn't make any moves to push them over the top. And Bogut and Deron Williams are likely to hit the buy out market and both of them fill needs for the Cavs.

Irving/Williams
Smith/Shumpert/Korver
James/Jefferson
Love/Frye
Thompson/Bogut

1.) 24 Feb 2017 03:09:03
Raptors look like a threat though, and Boston is a tiny threat. And who knows about the Wizards.

2.) 24 Feb 2017 05:32:51
Wouldn't consider them winners. Cavs ultimate goal is to win a championship and they made no steps to improve their chances of doing so. Yes it helps the Cavs that Boston didn't make a big move to get a superstar but Raptors made two solid moves that will make them formidable. Cavs have looked quite mortal lately and didn't make any of the moves that they need to to even out their lineup and not have to play Lebron so much leading up to playoffs.

Lucky for them there are a fair number of veteran guys who are candidates for buy outs and they may be able to get help there although not sure if that will even be enough. Its a bit risky too since no guarantee certain guys get bought out and once they do the Cavs won't be the only team going for them. Someone like Bogut may opt to go to Boston instead and maybe Williams wants to return to the Jazz.

3.) 24 Feb 2017 11:33:53
Cavaliers Starting Lineup

Kyrie Irving/ Deron Williams
J. R. Smith/ Kyle Krovor
LeBron James/ Rich Jefferson
Kevin Love/ Channing Fyre
Andrew Night/ Tristan Thompson.

4.) 25 Feb 2017 04:47:02
Bogut is signing with the warriors because of a CBA loophole.

Why does philly do this?

2.) 03 Feb 2017 20:21:04
Johnson and young have zero trade value. don't think philly is giving up noel and okafor for a guard who can't shoot. Sixers say No .

I don't really see a scenario where Fultz and Ball aren't the top two picks. Even for the Celtics, both of those guys have the size to guard the two so they can play with Thomas.

I don't know if Monk can play point. Also, there is absolutely no way Splitter can play the 4.

I think the Celtics keep the first or second pick with Ball or Fultz because I think that both could play next to IT. They have the size to guard the 2 and can relieve some ball handling from IT.

A small ball lineup with IT, Ball, Bradley, Crowder, Horford would be really strong.

To get Westbrook, it would take Horford, IT, Bradley, and both Nets picks.
