SAC receives: Carter, Asik, Payne

CHI receives: Giles, Cauley-Stein, Mason

Sacramento uses all of their $11M cap space to absorb Asik's terrible contract and combine their assets into a more surefire prospect. They bet big on Carter and Bagley, although you could argue they'd be hesitant to pay Cauley-Stein anyway.

Chicago, who can actually recruit free agents, regains some flexibility after an expensive off-season. They get more chances with good prospects that also fit well with their roster.

Still don't think Chicago does it, but could maybe happen depending on how the season goes.

Sac - Phi

Sac gets: #3 Russell, Noel

Phi gets: #6 Mudiay, McLemore, McCallum

Sac depth:
Rusell / Collison / Stockton
Stauskas / FA signing
Gay / Re-sign Casspi
Noel / Landry / Moreland
Cousins / Thompson

Phi depth will change too much haha

Sacramento more clearly addresses their needs of shooting and defense, while spreading out the playmaking/passing responsibilities across more positions (Cousins and Gay are going to have the ball in their hands a certain amount of time anyway, so getting a shooter in Russell instead of a more ball-dominant guard like Mudiay seems more efficient). They could sign a SG like Afflalo to a short deal (so he cashes in with new TV deal) while Stauskas develops and Collison eventually goes back to a 6th man role.

The Sixers might have a hard time choosing between Russell and Mudiay (who seems like a better fit to drive and dish to Embiid, even though he seems to be higher-risk, higher-reward), but with this trade they surround Mudiay with shooting in McLemore and Covington and solve their crowded frontcourt problem for the next draft. The Sixers can still afford to swing big for a while, but at least they can go forward with this core and build without a crazy amount of roster turnover.

So Sixers give up a better pick and player don't think so.

2.) 21 May 2015 21:29:23
Oh wow, this is so unbelievably bad. I wouldn't do this trade even without Noel.

3.) 21 May 2015 22:23:51
This is the worst sixers trade yet

4.) 21 May 2015 23:07:54
i don see the sixers dropping 3spots in the draft and trading noel for mclemore and mcallum. just giving up more to get less?? great for sac though, very one-sided imo.

I say the sixers do it even though even though it is true, worth than that I say phil jackson has shown to look like bigger idiot than what the sixers have planned over last 5 yrs. This is why I believe the league planted the ping pongs in favor of lakers and wolves bc the sixers and now knicks have idiots in management. If any team 3 yrs in a row has a worse top 5 records, they should give their franchise to another city. A little different than what english soccer does. But the goal is to punished teams who stay bad on purpose.

this is a joke

7.) 22 May 2015 02:37:22
Yeah that's big fat "no thanks" from Philly.

8.) 22 May 2015 15:04:16
No way.

Kings win that one

Sac - Den

Sac gets: Lawson, Faried
Den gets: Collison, Landry, 2015 1st (currently #6)

Sac has a lot of money coming off the books, but not sure if they can absorb quite this much salary. This would give them a great core going forward, with clear roles in the starting lineup and the uptempo style of play the Kings ownership/FO wants.

Denver simply continues to stockpile assets. In addition to having high picks in this upcoming draft, they get tradeable players and salary cap relief.

Sac Roster
Lawson / McCallum
McLemore / Stauskas
Gay / FA signing (3-and-D type player)
Faried / Thompson / Moreland (can be waived)
Cousins / Thompson

Gay / Casspi / Williams / Miller
Johnson / Landry / Evans / Moreland
Cousins / Hollins/ Stiemsma

Sac - Den

Sac gets:

Faried, Afflalo, Gee

Den gets:

McLemore, Williams, Thompson

Collison / McCallum / Sessions
Afflalo / Stauskas
Gay / Casspi / Gee
Faried / Landry / Moreland
Cousins / Evans / Hollins

Lawson / Nelson / Green
McLemore / Foye / Harris
Chandler / Gallinari / Williams
Hickson / Arthur
Nurkic / Thompson / McGee

Sacramento gets high-caliber role players to complement Cousins, Gay, and the up-tempo style they want to play. Hopefully Afflalo opts in for next year to tries to benefit from a bigger contract once the new TV deal kicks in. At the very least, Faried solidifies the frontcourt and Afflalo could give Stauskas some time to develop. Gee helps to match $ and provide shooting as a backup SF (3pt shooting is the reason Casspi probably won't be around for long).

If Denver goes for a rebuild (which seems to be the better way go, considering their upcoming draft picks), it is not ideal to keep Faried with the $ he is going to make. He seems to have regressed a bit this season, and trading him could open up time for a top draft pick at the forward spot. McLemore has more value than Afflalo, given his great improvement / high potential and Afflalo's age and contract uncertainty. Williams is a nice expiring contract to audition with for Denver, and could take up some SF minutes to allow them to trade Chandler for another 1st rounder. Thompson fills out the big man rotation and can be waived after next season.

It worked in the Trade Machine, not sure if that's correct though.

1.) Denver gets ripped

2.) Wow as if denver will do that. Good luck on that one
