Ok so my reasoning is all about opening up a max slot in Chicago this summer in the hopes of AD signing there. Davis loves playing the 4. Moving Markkanen makes sense if AD comes and allows them to keep picks as to add another guy later. Only so many teams have big expiring deals. Okc would die to add Markkanen to their core.

As we've seen, anyone can go anywhere when they are free agents. If he wants to play in Chicago, he will. I see him staying in L.A., but I also thought Durant would stay in OKC, Irving would stay in Boston, George would stay in OKC, James would stay in Cleveland and Leonard would stay in Toronto after winning a championship...
