Pacers: Josh Richardson, Romeo Langford, Enes Freedom (salary filler/ cut), Bruno Fernando (salary filler/ cut), 2023 1st rd dp (top-10 protected), 2 future 2nd rd dp

Celtics: Caris Levert, Torey Craig.

BHC

1.) 26 Jan 2022 17:47:25
I take this forLeVert.

2.) 26 Jan 2022 22:10:16
@ Gasupo

And Craig?

23 Jan 2022 18:54:03
Hawks: Marcus Smart, Dennis Schroder

Celtics: DeAndre Hunter, Sharife Cooper.

BHC

1.) 23 Jan 2022 19:11:56
If Smart were to be traded to Atlanta, I think it'd be for one of their shooters.

2.) 23 Jan 2022 20:07:13
Don’t like for Hawks.

3.) 24 Jan 2022 01:00:46
Hawks traded Reddish for basically nothing so they could resign Hunter.

4.) 24 Jan 2022 12:35:42
Terrible trade for Hawks.

23 Jan 2022 13:15:44
Nets: Schroder, Richardson, Freedom

Celtics: Millsap, Claxton, Harris.

BHC

1.) 23 Jan 2022 14:01:54
Not sure about Brooklyn but I like it for Boston.

21 Jan 2022 10:57:52
Lakers: Horford, Smart, Schroder, Freedom

Celtics: Westbrook, Jordan, Monk, 2027 1st rd dp

Lakers: Schroder/ Smart/ Lebron/ AD/ Horford

Celtics would still need a PF. Maybe they could re-direct the Lakers pick to Sacramento, along with Josh Richardson, Romeo Langford and Bruno Fernando (salary/ cut) for Harisson Barnes.

Cs: Westbrook/ Brown/ Tatum/ Barnes/ Williams.

BHC

1.) 21 Jan 2022 13:40:45
I like the firs trade
but no way sacramento trades Barnes without receiving a first in this trade.

2.) 21 Jan 2022 15:32:10
@ Gasupo

Kings are receiving a first in the second trade.

3.) 21 Jan 2022 17:09:58
My mistake

I would trade the Boston 2022 or 2023 pick

Sacramento needs young talent now and Boston can stack the Lakers pick.

4.) 21 Jan 2022 18:52:57
No chance that Boston would consider trading for Westbrook.

5.) 21 Jan 2022 22:45:00
You really think the Kings are going to wait on a 2027 first from the Lakers for trading Barnes? Its not like any of the players have value coming from Boston.

21 Jan 2022 10:32:23
Mavs: Smart, Schroder, Horford, Neismith

Celtics: Porzingis, Hardaway Jr., Brunson

Celtics jeopardize their cap for the foreseeable future by gambling on KP and Brunson. THJ, while grossly overpaid, can boost Boston’s bench and maybe rediscover his game there.

Brunson/ Brown/ Tatum/ KP/ Williams

Mavs get the perfect backcourt partner for Luka in Smart, an old but still good defender in Horford, a point guard who can either start or come of the bench in Schroder and a promising young talent in Neismith.

Luka/ Smart/ DFS/ Kleber/ Horford

If they could somehow manage to get Wood or Barnes, they would have a nice and balanced core moving forward.

BHC

1.) 21 Jan 2022 14:00:23
I don't think the Celtics are going to jeopardize their salary cap. They have been committed to cutting salary as they attempt to lure a star, (Beal? ) Or whoever they are looking at.

2.) 21 Jan 2022 18:33:32
This is a good trade for the Celtics. They need to shake things up if they want to be contenders.

3.) 21 Jan 2022 18:55:12
As a fan I say sure, but Boston won't bring in the unicorn. As for Brunson, I'd love him in Boston, but is there any reason to believe that Dallas doesn't consider him part of their future?

Pool: why do Lakers fans believe that the average yet overpaid THT is as valuable as NBA stars?

BHC

1.) 16 Jan 2022 05:34:54
Because Lakers fans are dreamers. But not everyone :)

2.) 16 Jan 2022 11:20:44
Because they think THT is better than Caruso and Caruso got the same amount from Chicago as THT got from the Lakers. So in their minds, THT is "plus" talent and "plus" contract.

But it still doesn't make him worth any All-Star talent like Beal or Brown. He is still a stretch for near All-Star talent like King's Fox or Spur's Murray.

3.) 16 Jan 2022 23:30:32
Laker fans have been doing this with any young player that shows anything whatsoever for a long time. It just is what it is.

Can the Celtics get Van Fleet without sending Brown or Tatum to the Raptors? What would be the cost?

BHC

1.) 15 Dec 2021 13:39:19
Good player, and Boston could send proper value, but I don't see a trade there that benefits both teams.

2.) 15 Dec 2021 14:16:11
Not much that would interest masai tbh. Williams would have to be included for sure, and Boston would need more bigs.

3.) 15 Dec 2021 15:58:32
Toronto loves FVV and it would take a lot to pry him away, especially because the Raptors are so weak in point guard depth. Flynn hasn't shown enough in practice to earn floor time, and Banton has shown flashes but realistically he's a mid second round pick with lots of development to come before he's a reliable rotation guy. Schroeder coming back would be great if he were backing up Freddie, but replacing him is a whole other story.

Celtics and Raptors trade
Tatum for Siakam
Straight up
Helps both teams.

BHC

1.) 20 Jul 2019 06:39:35
With the way siakam play last year specially in the playoffs i don't know if Raptors ate going to trade him.

08 Feb 2017 21:06:14

Sixers: Nets 2018 pick, fillers (any combination of James Young, RJ Hunter, Jonas Jerebko, Ben Bentil. or even all of them, should Philly want it)

Celtics: Okafor.

BHC

1.) 20 Oct 2016 16:42:40
I personally don't even think that starts the conversation on Okafor from a Philly standpoint. Might start conversations about Noel but not Okafor.

2.) 21 Oct 2016 17:33:40
Boston has made it clear it wants a top-15 player for either of the Nets picks. Okafor is barely top 15 in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference.

Celtics would never do this. Fox is not very good and don’t get me started on Bagley.

Celtics are not trading Brown at all, let alone for an unproven rookie, an injury-prone player (and currently injured btw) who may or may not be also a headcase, 2 terrible contracts and a second round pick.

No one in the Spurs organization would keep his or her job if something like this went through.

Celtics fan here. I’m certainly among a minority, but am not a fan of Brunson and Covington to me is one of the most overrated players in the entire association. It feels like every single year a random team decides that he’s the missing piece and trades or pays a lot to get him, and every single time he proves those teams wrong, as he always fails to elevate them to contention.

Having said that, in terms of trade value, I think this trade is fair and reasonable to all teams involved. No one is the clear winner, which is good.
