To Sac: Gordon

I’m not really a fan of it for either team. Bagley and Gordon are really similar and I think this is a step back for Orlando. I think they’re more likely to be buyers than sellers with the exception of Vucevic depending on where Bamba is at.

2.) 07 Sep 2019 10:35:48
Gordon was one of the guys I was targetting with my other post, but Orlando's roster is kind of full so I don't know how they take on additional players.

Why is OKC trading their draft capital to get a guy that's worse than the one they just traded?

Heat/Raptors/Wolves

To Heat: Lowry

To Raptors: Dragic + Wiggins + 1st round pick Wolves + 2 2nd round picks Heat

To Wolves: Ibaka + Waiters

1.) 28 Aug 2019 14:14:52
This is a good price for MIN to dump Wiggins (assuming some protections), but this is not their direction.

They aren’t win-now, and last summer, dumped their expiring vets (Derrick Rose, Taj Gibson, Bayless, Tolliver, Tyus Jones, Saric (to move up in the draft), for young, unproven talent. They don’t need guys that can play.

2.) 28 Aug 2019 14:55:39
What second rounders does Miami own at the moment? Then ask yourself would you want them today.

3.) 06 Sep 2019 14:33:54
Raptors won't trade lowry. or gasol. but Ibaka would be there best trade chip. they need to add young players and draft picks once gasol and lowry come off the books. resigning lowry to a cheaper contract and keep him as there starter till a better younger player emerge. but there biggest weakness is there scoring on the wing. so I would trade Ibaka for wiggins. have wiggins be there go to scorer and lowry and gasol will make him a better more focused player. then use other assets to. bring in those draft picks. OG and Powell can fight it out for the 5 starting role.

Pistons/Thunder

To Pistons: Gallinari + Adams

To Thunder: Drummond + Jackson + Brown

Delete

1.) 07 Aug 2019 11:53:26
What is the benefit to the Thunder here?

Adams and Drummond have two years left each at similar dollars, and the Thunder have absolutely no need for another PG with Paul, Schroeder and SGA in tow. Thanks.

2.) 07 Aug 2019 16:20:11
Well in every trade, they say there’s always a winner and a loser. Clearly Detroit would be the winner. If Detroit tosses in 2 unprotected 1st Rnd picks and swapped Brown for Kennard or Sekou, then there would be reason for having a conversation.

Otherwise, keep the jokes a coming. We don’t want Jackson back unless we’re getting something for him. As far as swapping Adams for Drummond, I guess you have a reason to prefer one over the other. And hopefully you know Gallinari isn’t going anywhere for free.

3.) 07 Aug 2019 16:48:19
Two unprotected firsts? And you complain about the trade being a joke?

4.) 07 Aug 2019 20:01:19
I can see one unprotected 1st but I’d say two picks is less of a joke than giving up a scorer like Gallo for nothing useful

5.) 07 Aug 2019 22:10:42
Gallo is a nice player on an expiring contract. Yes, two unprotected (or even protected) firsts for him is one of the most ridiculous things I have seen.

The idea of the post (I assume) is that Drummond is a pretty good step up over Adams. Which seems true, better scorer, rebounder, defender, more efficient. The problem with the trade is the same as the Adams-to-Portland trade a few days ago, it makes no sense for OKC (Portland in the other trade) from a real world standpoint. OKC doesn’t want an upgrade that isn’t a superstar, it doesn’t help them.

6.) 07 Aug 2019 22:26:08
Bmiller, your right. Too over the top.

Let’s back it up, both teams keep their own centers.

Detroit gets Gallinari

Okc takes Jackson and Kennard

Much more reasonable.

Miami/Detroit/Oklahoma

To Miami: Paul + Griffin + Thomas

Paul/Herro/Butler/Griffin/Adebayo
Thomas/Cooke/Okpala/Jones/Robinson/Leonard/Haslem/

To Detroit: Dragic + Gallinari + Waiters + Olynyk + 1st round pick Miami from Oklahoma

Dragic/Kennard/Gallinari/Morris/Drummond
Rose/Waiters/Snell/Doumboya/Olynyk/Maker/Wood

To Oklahoma: Jackson + Johnson + Galloway + Winslow

waive Jackson

Shai/Ferguson/Winslow/Johnson/Adams
Schroeder/Galloway/Diallo/Roberson/Nader/Noel/Bazley

Delete

1.) 07 Aug 2019 10:11:21
Why would Detroit ever do that?

2.) 07 Aug 2019 16:34:15
So Okc sends Gallinari and a 1st Rnd unprotected pick to Detroit for Jackson and Galloway?

Miami sends out a young prospect to take on additional salary (putting them over the hard cap) and gets 2 aging injury prone players on Max contracts.

And who cares what Detroit is getting at this point, because why would anyone do this trade?

Would probably move D. White and J. Hart ahead of Ferguson.

2.) 06 Sep 2019 16:46:22
White has outplayed all but top 3. Orlando need a pg.

1.) 04 Sep 2019 11:03:47
I think someone out of Lebron, Kawhi and George doesn't make it because of not playing enough games due to load management or prefers to rest. Add Donovan Mitchell.

Also, going to take Porzingis over Gobert.

Can Fox or Holliday slip in over Westbrook if he struggles adjusting to Houston style of play? Can Williamson fight his way onto the team?

As for the East, Lowry over Lavine.

2.) 04 Sep 2019 19:05:58
Probably depends on what team is better between Porzingis and Gobert. Hard to imagine Dallas has two all stars and isn’t in the playoffs. And hard to imagine Utah has none and is a top 4 seed.

3.) 04 Sep 2019 20:38:31
I agree about Utah which is why I had Donovan Mitchell back filling the "old timers" slot.

4.) 04 Sep 2019 21:08:19
Didn't see you added Mitchell. Yeah, I think there's a really good chance he makes it.

I think there's a really good chance Westbrook doesn't, because I think Houston struggles and he's the primary reason.

I think McCollum could make a case this year too. His second half and playoffs were really good. The "who has two all stars" probably comes down to who's where in the standings too. If Portland, Utah, Houson, Dallas, Denver are top 2 in the west, they deserve two most likely.
