Gsw can't do sign and trade.

2.) 20 Nov 2020 05:04:28
Asdenam. Why?

3.) 20 Nov 2020 05:18:22
when you do sign and trade, you are hard capped. gsw have to be under tax apron when they do sign and trade.

tax apron 138 million

gsw payroll: 170 million. they have to send at least 60 million to do sign and trade. they have to send wiggins, green and looney at least.

17 Nov 2020 22:53:14

draft hampton

celtics: dedmon & 6th pick
draft okongwu

1.) 18 Nov 2020 11:23:46
The Hawks have the cap space to sign Hayward of he opts out of Boston. No need to fall 8 spots in the draft to get a guy that you can just sign.

2.) 18 Nov 2020 12:24:28
You also get off Dedmon tho.

So, it was not believable when someone posted Green, kuzma & 28th for schroeder. Someone even mentioned that it's not enough. Now the deal in reality is green & 28th for schroeder. Wow, this actually proves that some of the proposal in here can actually happen. Having said that, losing Green, KCP and potentially Rondo & Bradley would really hurt the Lakers defense.

1.) 15 Nov 2020 21:37:37
Don’t think they’ll lose Bradley and Kcp.

2.) 16 Nov 2020 15:44:28
The people on this site have no idea what they are talking about value wise. Not saying I do either I just think it’s funny when people specifically ask others bc they’ve been on this site longer and are “experts”. Just a fun debate site to post ideas

3.) 16 Nov 2020 15:53:42
I think a lot of people (especially Thunder fans) overestimated Schroeder’s value. They basically flipped him for what they gave up to get him.

4.) 16 Nov 2020 16:50:50
76lesgo that's really disrespectful. Some experts on this site (Bmiller, Fredman) have extremely good knowledge of player value. Their views aren't influenced by homerism.

5.) 16 Nov 2020 18:34:46
I think general perception of that trade from fans and media was that the Lakers got him surprisingly cheap.

6.) 16 Nov 2020 20:49:10
Disagree with you on that, Darry. I just think BMiller and myself do a better job backing up our opinions with actual analysis, an understanding of the CBA, and greater awareness of other teams goals besides our "home" team. This doesn't make us "experts" either. Probably somewhere probably in between fan and expert. The Hield-McCollum discussion showed BOTH of our "homerism"s if you read between the lines.

7.) 16 Nov 2020 20:54:21
Rkenne, "Got him cheap? ". Because there was not much of a trade market for Schroeder and the Lakers didn't have much that they could offer.

Expecting something similar for Westbrook as well. Although OKC has turned Westbrook into Rubio, Oubrie and 3 firsts (waiting for Oubtie to be flipped at trade deadline as well) .

8.) 16 Nov 2020 22:57:42
In my mind, 'actual analysis' and 'understanding of the CBA' are considered expert. It's better than what most people do.

9.) 17 Nov 2020 01:24:40
Not saying some people on here don’t offer better trades and analysis then others. Like Fredman says I think some do a much better job with realistic in terms of salary, past trades, etc, but value is fluid, and like you said with the original post, there is not only a chance but almost a guarantee that a trade posted in here that actually comes true later on would have most likely been downvoted and torn apart at least slightly

15 Nov 2020 12:48:03
If Vanvleet, ibaka, gasol and others left t.o, what would be their plan?

1.) 15 Nov 2020 14:15:15
In that case it would be a good time for a major rebuild, especially since there might not be any home games in Toronto and they would not have to face blowback from the fans.

2.) 15 Nov 2020 15:01:30
We would have lots of cap space. Yay.

3.) 15 Nov 2020 15:30:09
Raptors would likely use the Knicks strategy from last year to sign guys for a year, keeping cap space open for next. Then rebuild around Siakim, OG and whichever of the stars they are able to land for max contract next year. If Lowry wants to stay he'll be taken care of after the max signing is done but not at 31M.

12 Oct 2020 12:00:22
Does Miami have a shot at landing a star this offseason? Via trade, Herro's value just gone up but who are they going to target aside from Giannis that is worth trading their young assets? East will be harder next year with healthy KD and Kyrie

1.) 12 Oct 2020 14:44:32
Beal, Holiday, Oladipo could be had. I think they could get Aldridge for cheap too. He’d be a good fit and he’s still a really good player.

2.) 19 Oct 2020 23:15:36
Aldridge is hurt or can’t play defense. He hasn’t been good in three years. He is the first spurs overpay I saw in decade.

03 Oct 2020 15:17:17
CP3's value was so bad when he was with the Rockets mainly because of his contract, but suddenly it changes when he plays for the right team. I'm not saying he can get a lot in a trade now but and his contract still sucks but he is not that negative now. Maybe some contenders that can use him will give something valuable. I'm thinking same with Horford. Why don't we give him a chance? I really think that if he gets out of the Sixers and find a team who can use him properly, his value will show. I just don't know what team can give him a chance. And what type of deal that would be. CP3 lead the Thunder to playoffs right after analysts gave them a 1% chance of making it. I'm not saying Horford can lead a team like Paul but he can be valuable in a team that will needs his service.

1.) 03 Oct 2020 16:47:34
The problem with both is age more than anything. I don’t want to pay Paul 44 million at 37. There’s a 50/ 50 chance at best that he doesn’t revert back to who he was in his last year in Houston next year, when he looked old and nearly done.

2.) 03 Oct 2020 21:49:59
Worth the chance especially if you can’t sign any one else.

3.) 04 Oct 2020 01:49:07
With the cap situation around the league, I just don’t see who takes that chance. The Lakers make sense, but can’t fit Paul into their cap with any trades. Maybe Orlando? Maybe Atlanta puts Paul at SG next to Trae?

There’s not many teams with contracts that match that aren’t as good or better than Paul.

4.) 04 Oct 2020 13:49:21
Miller that's an interesting thought of Young-Paul backcourt. They are small but their offense will be lethal.

5.) 19 Oct 2020 23:22:08
Co3 and trey can’t guard any SG.

28 Sep 2020 07:14:36
Is this the first time that 2 teams that didn't make the playoffs the previous season meet in the finals?

1.) 28 Sep 2020 13:33:59
i can't remember this happened before.

2.) 28 Sep 2020 20:31:32
According to reddit, yes.

Lakers don't have cap space.
Bogdanovic signed a bigger amount.
Trade 3 is horrible for Nuggets. Unless they like it, it's the most probable to happen, but that's not saying much.

Utah can compete. I think if Bogdanovic is in the bubble they couldve went deeper in the playoffs. One piece to help mitchell's load and they're in the western top tier.

It does make sense for the Cavs. They will be a playoff team again. Something that they can't do without Lebron.

That is not what the Warriors are looking for. They'd rather get Booker themselves.

Why would the Clippers do this? To lose Kawhi after a year?
