The Milwaukee Bucks just traded seldom used C Jason Smith, and newly acquired SF Stanley Johnson (From the Detroit Pistons for Thon Maker) to the NOP for F/C Nikola Mirotic. Milwaukee has been looking for more wing help. They surely can use Mirotic's 3 point shooting!

1.) 07 Feb 2019 19:09:44
Great fit I wonder if they’ll bring him as a 6th man or move move Middleton to SG and Giannis to SF and start Mirotic.

2.) 07 Feb 2019 20:32:08
That sounds like a plan! Plus what if Milwaukee were to sign Melo Anthony for the rest of the year? They do have 1 roster opening!

3.) 07 Feb 2019 22:41:07
Major upgrade over Henson/ Maker.

4.) 09 Feb 2019 06:59:54
Think Melo is a lost cause. put him in the Wade-Dirk vet group.

5.) 09 Feb 2019 22:31:00
@ Fredman, I think you're right. It was just a thought. But, The Bucks do have a roster spot open. So, ?

06 Feb 2019 18:33:22
Bucks trade 2016 1st rd #10 pick 7'1" PF/C Thon Maker to the Detroit Pistons.

The Pistons trade 2015 1st rd #8 Pick 6'7" SF/SG Stanley Johnson to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Great for both teams.

Torque Hardbar

1.) 06 Feb 2019 18:47:23
It seems fairly insignificant for both teams.

2.) 06 Feb 2019 18:57:48
Hi rkeene, Actually, Its helps both teams. The Bucks needed another wing, The Pistons needed another big man. Both get what they wanted. And just a fyi. Its not always about the Lakers, Knicks, NOP. etc. Other teams also play in the NBA.
Enjoy your day!

3.) 06 Feb 2019 19:15:30
Neither helps outside of practice.

4.) 06 Feb 2019 19:22:37
@Shiller41, Practice? you talking about Practice? Practice? Its just Practice!
Bottom line, It could have been worse, Both Johnson and Maker could have ended up in Cleveland! At 11-and 43 and 29 games out of 1st place.
Ask Rodney Hood how it feels to actually get "Paroled" out of Cleveland.
Then ask M. Dellavedova, and J. Henson, how it feels to be "Sentenced" to the Cavs from 1st place Milwaukee?

5.) 06 Feb 2019 21:13:58
Yea both needed a change of scenery, both could be very good players for their new teams.

Milwaukee Bucks/ Phoenix Suns

Milwaukee sends,

PF/C 7'1" Thon Maker

Phoenix sends,

SG/SF 6'7" Kelly Oubre

Milwaukee gets a decent backup to K. Middleton,

Phoenix gets a Young backup PF/C, who wants more PT

Torque Hardbar

1.) 30 Jan 2019 16:00:20
Bucks add a pick.

2.) 30 Jan 2019 16:11:38
Or maybe The Suns should add a pick?

3.) 30 Jan 2019 16:14:41
I like it. The Bucks get a guy ready to produce, the Suns get another project. Value seems about the same.

4.) 30 Jan 2019 18:49:36
Suns have Holmes as backup who is better already.

5.) 30 Jan 2019 18:58:37
@Shiller41, T. Maker is actually a PF. That's where he was drafted at. He's too Skinny to play Center, And He shoot's to many 3's. He needs time to develop, (G League? ) Not a big loss for the Buck's and the Suns get a young player.

6.) 30 Jan 2019 20:32:42
Not a big loss? He hasn't devolved yet why would it change in worse team? It's a waste. If suns trade Oubre it should be for a player that might help.

7.) 30 Jan 2019 22:26:43
Suns will be rebuilding for a while! Maker will better in 2-3 years. Bucks can use Oubre now. why waste Oubre on a losing team? Just who is going to help the Suns now? Phoenix apparently needs more than one player now! Maker for Oubre actually helps both teams now. salaries match. And yes, Maker is not a big loss. C. Wood is a better player, as is D. J Wilson, Both can play t 4 or 5 positions.

8.) 31 Jan 2019 00:29:37
Lol Sun's keep Obure trade TJ plus bucks pick for Maker and?

9.) 31 Jan 2019 00:49:26
Salaries don't match. Plus, why would the Bucks want to add more salary, knowing they have Lopez, Bledsoe, Middleton and Brogdan ALL in their last year? And ALL will want to get paid! No need for TJ. But, Can use Oubre as a backup SF, More than a disgruntled PF that needs PT, And won't get it in Milwaukee.

10.) 31 Jan 2019 05:50:47
Suns say no!

11.) 31 Jan 2019 18:11:08
Sun's don't make that original trade.

19 Dec 2018 18:45:43
Milwaukee Bucks trade Malcolm Brogdan and a 2nd rd pick to the Phoenix Suns.

Phoenix Suns trade Kelly Oubre jr. to the Milwaukee Buck's.

Phoenix gets the PG they have been looking for.

Milwaukee gets the SF they need, While moving Middleton back to SG.

Torque Hardbar

1.) 19 Dec 2018 19:37:47
Have a hard problem believing the Suns would trade away a player that they just traded up to get (so at a price of 2 mid 1st picks) for Brodgon who they will have to pay to keep next year in order to keep and a late 2nd round pick based upon Milwaukee's record.

2.) 19 Dec 2018 19:59:42
Fredman, first comprehend the Stepien Rule not even in its entirety just have someone who knows explain it to you. A Youtube video maybe. The actual year we are playing in '18-'19 does matter and is current for the '19 draft year. That is all you need to know. The rest is too complicated for you I think. Oubre is also expiring and needing to be paid, which is why the Wiz traded rivers and he for ariza. So, your argument doesn't hold water especially since the Suns could desperately use Brogdan for roughly the same long term commitment, and they have Warren, Jackson, and Bridges already.

3.) 19 Dec 2018 20:03:20
Freeman, he’s talking about Kelly Oubre, not Mikal Bridges.

4.) 19 Dec 2018 20:36:30
Fredman, Oubre will be 2nd, or 3rd of their SF list. Behind Bridges, and J Jackson. But, With M. Brogdan, They get a starter they've need at PG. Oubre basically was brought in along with Rivers to get rid of Ariza and his contract, And nothing more, possibly as trade bait also?

5.) 19 Dec 2018 20:51:53
So you are trading Brogdon for Oubre and Suns are getting the pick? I don't get it! Brogdon is a proven starter avg 15.3 ppg shooting 52/ 47/ 98 in his 3rd NBA year, while Oubre is underachieving in his 4th.
As much as I like Oubre, this is horrible for the Bucks. His value is closer to Maker and a 2nd than what you are suggesting.

6.) 19 Dec 2018 22:02:22
Yea, i thought I was replying to your previous proprosal with Bridges. My bad. Oubre for Brogdon is good with me. Basically turns into Ariza for Brogdon from Phoenix's perspective.

7.) 19 Dec 2018 22:19:21
@milpso. Milwaukee can use Oubre more, Than they need Brogdan. The added 2nd rd pick would just sweeten the deal more. Brogdan is about 1.8 mil a year. Oubre is about 3.9 mil.

8.) 19 Dec 2018 22:56:39
I wonder if Fredman figured out the Stepien Rule yet or if he is still in denial of his own eveidence?

9.) 19 Dec 2018 23:45:37
Maybe you should look at who agreed with me? BTW still waiting on your "evidence" that matches your hypothesis. And the cavs-lakers trade doesn't do it since the Cavs had 2 first rounders. Or do we have to go through this all over again?

10.) 20 Dec 2018 00:12:46
What would who agreed with you mean? They are interpreting the rule wrong too? I would trust Supercollider with this little spat, if anyone was going to used on here for a reference of fact regarding this matter. I know from Anderson you refuse to read at will.

11.) 20 Dec 2018 02:31:04
Friedman going to have to pay oubre too.

18 Dec 2018 23:37:35
Phoenix Suns send 6'7" SF Mikal Bridges to the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Milwaukee Bucks send Malcolm Brogdan to the Phoenix Suns.

Phoenix gets their PG/SG for the future, (Brogdan 6'5", is a former ROY, drafted as a SG but has been playing a lot of PG for the Bucks)

The Bucks get a SF that they need, And can then move Middleton back to SG. His more natural position.
At 6'8" Middleton can shoot over a lot of smaller SG's

Torque Hardbar

1.) 19 Dec 2018 01:04:38
No, because Brogdan will be a restricted free agent next summer. Bridges is locked in to a rookie scale contract. Bucks should sweeten the pot. Would have to I think for old squeaky.

2.) 19 Dec 2018 01:08:09
Bucks add a second.

3.) 19 Dec 2018 01:22:54
@Shiller41 and Btec. Agreed! Brogdan and a 2nd rd pick to the Suns.

Bridges to the Bucks!

I believe that would actually help both teams.

Brogdan hasn't played the same since Milwaukee got Bledsoe, And Brogdan went to the bench, After being the starting PG before Bledsoe arrived. Maybe a change of scenery would help?

Plus Milwaukee could use a legit SF. Middleton is a SG playing SF. he could then go back to his natural position of SG.

4.) 19 Dec 2018 01:30:41
Something better than a 2nd probably. If the Bucks don't move on a deal before the deadline its little indication about their future plans with him because they are winning and will want a replacement of equal or close ability. Bridges and Signing Middleton? Ok, can't say I agree with that approach.

5.) 19 Dec 2018 03:58:32
How about?

PHX get Brogdon and Maker

MIL get Bridges and Bender.

6.) 19 Dec 2018 14:13:37
Not sure that is enough of a return for Bridges considering Phoenix used 2 1st round picks to get him.

Milwaukee will match not only Brogdon, But also Lopez! Plus, Middleton just bought a house in the Milwaukee suburbs. Looks like the band is going to be staying together for a while.
