SAC - CLE
Sacramento receives: Isaac Okoro (uses trade exception from Holmes trade)
Cleveland receives: Chris Duarte, future 2nd
SAC signs Ish Smith to play the veteran role that Dellavedova had last year. CLE signs Cameron Payne to replace Rubio.
SAC depth:
Fox / Mitchell / Smith
Huerter / Monk / Jones
Barnes / Okoro / Edwards
Murray / Lyles / Vezenkhov
Sabonis / McGee / Len
CLE depth:
Garland / Payne / Jerome
Mitchell / Duarte / Merrill
Strus / LeVert
Mobley / Niang / Wade
Allen / Jones / Thompson

Thought there was an exception for Holmes, looks like I was wrong though.
2.) 26 Sep 2023 16:56:10
Doesn't matter. Kings weren't letting Duarte go for that cheap of a package.

Miami is rumored to be a landing spot for Oubre if they trade for Lillard. Assuming Miami sends out Herro / Robinson / Jovic for the salary matching part of that trade, they may want to follow up with another trade for a SG.
SAC - MIA
Sacramento receives: Martin, Highsmith (waive)
Miami receives: Monk, '25 POR 2nd via SAC
Kings depth:
Fox / Mitchell / FA
Huerter / Duarte / Jones
Barnes / Martin / Edwards
Murray / Lyles / Vezenkhov
Sabonis / McGee / Len
Heat depth:
Lillard / Lowry
Richardson / Monk / Williams
Butler / Oubre / Champagnie
Love / Jaquez / Swider
Adebayo / Bryant / Robinson
Monk would fit right in to a 6th man type role in Miami and Martin could be a long term fit in Sacramento at SF.

Kings wont do it. Fox/ Monk combo is too good to give up.

SAC - NOP
Sacramento receives: Daniels, Alvarado (or Lewis)
New Orleans receives: Mitchell, Duarte, POR '25 2nd
Sac depth:
Fox / Daniels / Alvarado
Huerter / Monk / Jones
Barnes / Edwards
Murray / Lyles / Vezenkhov
Sabonis / Len / Noel / Queta
NO depth:
McCollum / Mitchell / Lewis
Ingram / Duarte / Hawkins
Jones / Murphy / Marshall
Williamson / Liddell
Valunciunas / Nance / Zeller
Mitchell is a better defender than Daniels, but the Kings need wing defenders. Daniels is more suited to guard / play multiple positions and has more long term upside.
Mitchell's role would be much clearer with the Pelicans. They may be able to make the jump to being a playoff team sooner with Mitchell and Duarte.
1.) 18 Aug 2023 14:46:45
I’d do it with Lewis instead of Alvarado.
2.) 18 Aug 2023 20:13:46
I really like that for Sacramento.
3.) 20 Aug 2023 18:19:33
Easy pass by Sacramento. Daniels does zero for Sac.

SAC - PHI
Sacramento receives: Thybulle, Korkmaz
Philadelphia receives: Davis, Len
SAC depth:
Fox / Mitchell / Dellavedova
Huerter / Monk / Korkmaz
Barnes / Thybulle / Burton
Murray / Lyles / Okpala
Sabonis / Metu / Holmes
PHI depth:
Harden / Maxey / Springer
Melton / Milton / Davis
Harris / House
Tucker / Niang / Reed
Embiid / Harrell / Len
Sacramento gets a great defensive player who doesn't play much for PHI due to his limited offense - he will probably benefit from a fresh start.
Philadelphia gets Korkmaz's $5m+ off of the cap for this offseason, and gets under the luxury tax with the difference in salary in the trade. Davis helps with their bench depth and it could be useful to have his bird rights if they don't want to pay Milton this offseason.
1.) 01 Feb 2023 02:06:34
The difference between Thybulle and Okpala is?
Not enough here to make it worth it to the Kings.
2.) 01 Feb 2023 14:30:42
Okpala hasn't made NBA All-Defensive 2nd team twice.
3.) 01 Feb 2023 17:03:43
and yet the 76ers are not using their two-time 2nd team all defensive player. That is telling the league a whole lot.
And TD is not going anywhere either.

SAC - CLE
Sacramento receives: Osman, Okoro, Windler
Cleveland receives: Barnes, Davis, SAC '23 2nd
SAC depth:
Fox / Mitchell / Dellavedova
Huerter / Monk / Windler
Okoro / Osman / Okpala
Murray / Lyles / Metu
Sabonis / Holmes / Len
CLE depth:
Garland / Rubio / Neto
Mitchell / LeVert / Davis
Barnes / Stephens
Mobley / Love / Wade
Allen / Lopez
The Kings get value and depth at SF for Barnes + Davis, who may not fit their long term plans. They would have to wait until PJ Dozier's 10-day contract expires, but afterwords they could still move/waive Windler to sign Dozier again. Salaries don't seem to work without adding Davis / Windler into the deal.
Cleveland gets a veteran SF who does not need the ball in his hands as much as someone LeVert does, as well as a potential backup SG replacement in Davis. CLE could look to trade LeVert for matching salary + picks to offset some of the picks sent out in the Mitchell trade.
1.) 10 Jan 2023 04:31:40
That should be an easy NO from Kings.
2.) 10 Jan 2023 17:56:41
I'd do this in a heartbeat for Cleveland.
3.) 11 Jan 2023 00:09:07
Not worth it for Sacramento. Plenty of other teams have more young talent and picks to offer for Barnes.
25 Sep 2023 19:55:31
Thought there was an exception for Holmes, looks like I was wrong though.
01 Feb 2023 14:30:42
Okpala hasn't made NBA All-Defensive 2nd team twice.
01 Feb 2023 01:02:43
Agreed with Hyena, Monk has raised his value significantly and I don't think the Kings want to rock the boat like that.
31 Jan 2023 21:42:59
I posted a similar trade, but I assumed Korkmaz value was pretty negative based on the last couple seasons.
21 Nov 2022 03:58:26
I like the idea but I think MIN needs more than a lotto protected 1st to take on Robinson's contract. Also not sure how much Miami wants Russell compared to other options - that would be adding another ball dominant backcourt player.
