Philly gets worse. They should be getting GS 2020 1st.

2.) 03 Feb 2020 17:00:17
Hate it for GS. I might be in the minority, but healthy, I think I’d want Klay over Embiid.

I like the chance of Pelicans sneaking in to the 8th spot although it's going to be a tight battle in that Western playoff spot. They are just 3.5 games behind Memphis. If Zion mesh well with this squad it's going to be fun 1st round meeting between them and the Lakers.

CLE get:
T.Thompson
J.Redick

NOP get:
M.Gasol
1st round pick TOR

CLE get:
Derrick Favors exp
2nd rd pick TOR
2nd rd pick NOP

kimetsu

1.) 20 Jan 2020 11:48:08
Who does TOR get?

2.) 20 Jan 2020 12:20:10
Why wouldn’t the Cavs just take Gasol and add some salary, if need be to get the get a 1st and second rather than Favors and 2 2nds?

3.) 20 Jan 2020 12:20:37
I would assume based on the picks, Toronto is getting Thompson and Redick.

4.) 20 Jan 2020 12:42:51
No reason for New Orleans to do this deal. trade a 2nd rounder to get worse just to lose 13.5 M on a productive player next year?

5.) 20 Jan 2020 13:50:52
Rapsfan, NOLA get a 1st too. Rkenne i guess because the Raptors will not do a Gasol for Thompson trade only. I bet he included the Pels to get Redick too to add depth at the wings. Maybe.

NYK get:
Westbrook

HOU get:
Dedmon
Bogdanovic
Morris
Portis
1st round pick DAL via NYK
1st round pick NYK '21
2nd round pick SAC

SAC get:
Capela

Salaries don't work. NY would have to send Dotson to the Kings to make it work. but I don't understand why Houston would want to weaken their team for picks. This is not the all-in move you'd expect from Daryl Morey.

2.) 20 Jan 2020 16:02:24
Why are King even in this trade.

20 Jan 2020 09:29:32
OKC get:
Gordon Hayward

DET get:
Andre Roberson (exp)
Dennis Schroder
1st round pick MEM via BOS

BOS get:
Andre Drummond
1st round pick DEN via OKC

I know that Denver pick will be late but I don’t see okc getting off a pick to unload Dre cause Schroder has already had interest from other teams

Apparently their sos going forward is something like 29. There’s a good chance.

Who are (team or players) the disappointments and surprises this season thus far?

kimetsu

1.) 03 Jan 2020 13:31:27
Disappointing

Blazers
Dedmond
Conley

Good surprise

Graham.

2.) 03 Jan 2020 15:20:33
Toronto, OKC, and Indy are good surprises. Ingram, Brown, and Wiggins too. I'd include Melo there too, he's been surprisingly fun to watch.

Portland is definitely disappointment #1 for just about every reason. All of the 8-12 teams in the west are pretty disappointing actually, all of SA, Portland, Sac, Minny, and Phoenix thought they were above .500 teams. Injuries as a whole have been really disappointing for the entirety of 2019 (Portland's entire front court, everyone on GS, Zion, Sacramento has been hit hard, Durant, Griffin)

3.) 03 Jan 2020 16:15:54
Hayward fits in both categories. It was great to see him as the old Hayward. Then he got hurt.

4.) 03 Jan 2020 17:43:58
Disapponts

Portland, Conley, Atlanta, Zion

Surprises

Miami (Dunn, Herro + Chemisrty), OKC (Paul + SGA), Toronto (Siakam being #1 guy), R. Holmes, GSW (being worse team), Indy (without Oladipo) .

5.) 03 Jan 2020 23:47:08
Bmiller- griffin being hurt happens most years.

6.) 05 Jan 2020 02:24:54
He’s played 58+ games in all but one season his whole career. Sure, he misses some games every year, but it’s not -that- bad. For example, Griffin and Kawhi average almost identical games per year.

To become a championship contender, Boston must get KAT using picks. Tatum, Brown and Kemba should remain because that would be the core to win it all. But will MIN bite if the offer is Hayward and full load of picks? I don't know.
