Noel and Covington don't get the Sixers a potential top 3 pick in next year's draft.

One pick doesn't get Love from the Cavs.

I still don't get why Cavs would trade love since they are in win now mode.

So you value Noel about as highly as Love? Sorry. that's just wrong.

if y`all haven`t noticed, the league is becoming a league of OFFENSE and NO DEFENSE. with that said, you can always find a Big who can shoot from the outside, but show me A LOT of BIGs that play DEFENSE.?

The Cavs have CH. Frye that can easily replace LOVE and his OVER PRICED contract. or you didn`t watch the Eastern Conference finals?

"Channing Frye can easily replace Love"? Love is disappointing for his contract but he's a great player.

Noel is a valuable player for sure. But he isn't a star. While I think on a team like the Cavs he would really thrive there I don't see why the Cavs would trade love who is an established semi star player for a young Noel.

Channing Frye is actually a solid defender. When he was traded, I saw something on ESPN as him being the fourth best defensive power forward or something.

As for being sooooo easy to find big men that shoot from the outside. Number of big men that shot within 100 3's of love and a better percentage?

5

Dirk, Teletovic, Marvin WIlliams, Ryan Anderson and Mirotic. so perhaps that was an exaggeration.

Over price contract? Are you kidding me? That argument lost all weight this off season.

Love averaged 16/ 10 and a PER of 19.1 and makes 21 million next year

He is making less than Nowitzki, Bosh, Howard, Whiteside, Beal, Barnes, parsons, rose, and lopez.

Hell, Ryan Anderson is making 2 million less. Enes Kanter 3 mill less. Noah, Fournier, EVAN TURNER, . list goes on.

Stop complaining about him having a huge contract. Comparative to others in the league, itll actually end up a pretty decent contract. Especially after next years boom.

Also, I really do like Noel. But he is NOT an overly elite defender. At least not yet.

Heres what's hysterical. let's look at Defensive Win Share leaders from last season. here are some of the big men that ranked better than Noel:

Millsap, Jordan, Drummond, Whiteside, Green, Horford, Aldridge, Gasol, Gobert, Duncan. and wait for it. Kevin Love.

What I will say is that defensive box plus/ minus is more accurate towards Noel's defensive worth, but even still, hard to say he is elite. Big men ahead of him there are:

duncan, gobert, millsap, green, jordan, gasol, whiteside. And he's essentially tied with Mahinmi and Amir Johnson.

Noel is a very solid and versitile defender. But he is not one of the best. I wouldn't put him top 5. His lack of offensive abilities minus close put ins makes him far less valuable than love. Sorry, just true. Love him, but true.
