Portland: Boogie cousins


Pelicans: Swanigan, Harkless, Nurkic


Pels get wing help in Harkless, and upside in Swanigan, and Nurkic. Portland gets a Star who can be a go to guy, and a floor spacer.

Not terrible if NOs thinks they're about to lose Cousins, but they may want some assets with more upside. For Portland, I think they would have to have some assurances that Cousins would resign.

rkenne_16 completely agree about Boogie. Assurances he will sign Possibly switch that up a little with Rondo, and Mccollum. McCollum would compliment holiday, as Rondo would Lillard, throw in Hill to make salaries work, or a combination thereof?

Rad23, yeah Portland has to shore up its backcourt defensively, and ball handling wise. They aren't looking playoff bound if Lillard, or Mccollum, isn't dealt for a defensive player. Lillard is a better ball handler than Mccollum by quite a bit, plus Rondo, and Boogie are close friends. Added incentive.

The original deal is probably fair value for Cousins, and one I might gamble on (though, I hate Cousins, so I personally would pass on him overall, but that’s not the point) .

McCollum is waaaaaay more valuable than rondo. He’s more valuable than Cousins (because of contracts) . I wouldn’t offer either of portlands guards unless AD was involved (which he’s too valuable to do) .

I like this trade

Cousins would stay in Portland and Nurkic would stay in NO.

Bmiller66 my response after proposed trade was to rkenne_16, and was more of a suggestion as to what would keep cousins in Portland, and make trade happen. My trade proposal is what I would do as a GM. Get Boogie. Lillard can't carry a team. Defense wins championships. Name one starting point guard Lillard can hold under 20?

I don't do this even if i know Boogie won't resign in NOLA unless there is more upside if I'm the Pels GM.
