Salaries don't match. Before or after Wiggins 24 mil kicks in.

Salaries don't have to matchif you have room to absorb a contract. Even so, bazemores 19m + pick apx 2m is within the 120%.

My mistake, It would work if after their next season deals kick in. ATL falls way below cap. (70m) Their salaries are aprox. 6m apart after Wiggins, and Bazemore deals kick in, but because ATL is taking in more it wouldn't be a problem. Gain an exception. ATL essentially draft for MIN. Interesting. Good way for MIN to move on from Wigs if that's their plan.

MIN would get the exception.

How about Atlanta keep the pick, and do Wiggins for Bazemore and Prince?

Rumor had it Atlanta was willing to move Prince at the deadline.

Instead of getting a first and drafting another rookie, they get guy who can help now. Butler, Bazemore, and Prince would be a pretty good defensive group on the wing, with some versatility with Prince able to play PF as well. Then, with their 1st from OKC, they can draft either a combo guard or 3 point shooter.

I like it. Minnesota gets a well-rounded wing and a mid-first pick. Atlanta gets a solid scorer to build around.

Prince would be ideal for MIN defensively.
