Cleveland go's for a total rebuilt, let Hood walk.
Atlanta owns the Cavs pick in 2019, but it's top 10 protected, so Cleveland can tank for two years. The pick will be conveyed in a second round draft pick in 2020.

And I thought Lil J had the monopoly on lopsided Cavs trades.
No way Memphis does that.

Actually think Memphis says yes.

Memphis would have say no, if this was the first or second pick, but i think they can do this for the 4rd pick. Doncic and Ayton will be gone, so they could take an aging all star over a prospect and a bad contract.

Jackson jr, bridges, bagley, maybe bamba are the reasons the fourth is still worth something.

So is Love
Love-Gasol-Conley, would be a great trio.

Memphis would be better off drafting best player available, so he can take the reigns when Conley and Gasol leave (Gasol can opt out after next year) . Better to get the next generation ready rather than try to keep up with Golden State and Houston and still fall short.

I doubt Memphis would do that trade, but they seem oddly focused on winning now rather than rebuilding.

I'm also not sure the Cavs would take that sign and trade for Lebron. It would almost guarantee that they stay in the luxury tax. I can't see Gilbert being willing to pay luxury for 2 late 1sts (it's more than fair value for Deng's contract but the Cavs would have to pay significantly more than just his salary for that trade) . I don't think it would be hard for the Lakers to find a team with cap space willing to take on Deng for two 1sts or possibly a little less. The only team that's been suggested that I can see the Cavs getting enough from in a sign and trade is Houston. The only way they could get Lebron without losing the bulk of their roster is a sign and trade.
