I don’t think it’s far off if you add Nance or Osman. By itself I would have to say the heat rumored trade is better and so are the clippers but if you add Nance or Osman then at least it could be a considered package to look at.

I see Clarkson as having slightly negative value, Hood has minimal value as seen by the lack of interest in free agency, and the 1st would be 3 years from now.

Throwing Nance or Osman in would possibly make it atleast a conversation, but I feel like Sexton or Love would have to be the center piece to any Cavs trade for Butler and that just doesn’t seem worth it for a probable 30 year old rental.

And that’s why the Cavs shouldn’t give up Sexton or Love for Butler, he won’t stay at season’s end. Cavs won’t compete with Butler this year anyway, so if it’s not Hood, Clarkson, a 1st and potentially Osman, which I don’t know whether the Wolves accept anyway, the Cavs should also shy away.
