If the rumors are true Wall is willing to waive his no trade clause. He wants to go to the Lakers supposedly. Wiz are willing to deal him for next to nothing.

as someone who dislikes the lakers a lot. I hope that happens. If the lakers get wall, they are screwed in the long run. They are stuck with his terrible contract. It would eliminate any cap space they would have this offseason. It would make it significantly tougher to bring in a 3rd star.

Next to nothing i doubt however. it will still cost one of their young stars along with a few expiring contracts. KCP and Ball would make it work with a pick, or ingram/ kuzma/ rondo plus picks.

There's no possible way that the Lakers move Ingram or Kuzma to get Wall, let alone both.

If the Lakers could get Wall for expiring deals and keep all 4 of their young guys, I don't think it would be a terrible move. If Wall comes back into form to play alongside Lebron and those young guys, that's a dangerous team. If one of those guys (Hart, Ball, Ingram, Kuzma) makes the jump to star, they are instantly a top 5 team in the league.

Rumored deal that Pelinka and Magic turned down was Wall for Pope, Ball, Ingram. One of Kuzma and Hart were also mentioned instead of Ingram. No pick. Wall and LBJ have the same Agent, it's no surprise Rich Paul could, and would attempt to orchestrate something like this. I think the "news" of what the Wiz are rumored to accept for Wall, will chum the trade waters nicely for other possible suitors! The Lakers can afford it more than any other team in the league, so its not terribly unreasonable.

Washington isn’t getting a solid prospect, a 1st and expiring cash for Wall.

rkenne, what would be enough for wall then? i think it would take more than what i put, i just put that as a base for salaries to matchup. in that scenario, john wall also kills their cap. if they traded ball, kcp, and picks, it matches up contract wise but for the future and this offseason, it only gives them 13 mill for free agency, assumming that they release all cap holds on their current players

If they include ingram or others, it would help clear up more cap.

I think Lakers should give ball more time he slowly improving and playing defense. Then in off season Lakers have 38 mil in cap if they fail on signing Leonard Thompson Durant cousins or Butler. If ball didn't improve enough Then they trade Ball and 2020 and 2024 unprotected first for wall. That 24 pick could be valuable.
Wall Ingram James kuzma McGee. hart sixth man.
