Boston/Indiana

Seeing reports Boston and Indiana working on a PG13 trade with 3 year extension, if Boston can sign Hayward first.

Potential Trade:

Boston gets PG13

Indiana gets 3 future 1sts including 2018 Brooklyn 1st, Crowder, & Brown.

Indiana gets a great return including 2 potential starters and maybe the #1 pick in the draft next year.

Boston gets a superstar, signs Hayward to replace what Crowder brought, and already drafted Tatum who essentially is the exact same player as Brown, maybe slightly better at this point.

Pacers could probably get three pieces, but not five.

Tatum and Brown are very different players. Brown is all defensive intensity and athleticism, whereas Tatum is neither. He is an offensive minded guy, who relies on practiced skills in order to get his buckets. Both should be really solid players in their own right, and probably make up the perfect wing if you combined their skills, but they're very different in the way they go about their winning.

Take out Crowder because Celtics are giving up too much.

If Boston wouldn't offer Bkn 18 or #3 for Butler, they certainly won't offer it for a 1 year PG13 rental. PG would have to sign an extension for Indiana to have a shot at any of Boston's top assets. I doubt that will happen with him wanting to go to LA after next year.

PG13 is not a superstar. Superstars show up in the top 5 in stats. Russ, Harden had that label this past season.

VCfor3. Read the post. It clearly says with a 3 year extension. That is what is being reported on multiple sites. Celtics would get PG13 for at least 4 years. That is why they would give up big assets. Maybe what I said earlier is too much. Maybe it should be:

Boston: PG13

Indiana: 3 future 1sts including 2018 Brooklyn 1st and Brown.
