NYK and Orl

NYK get Vucevic, Payton and the 25th pick
Draft Ferguson

Orl get Noah and 8th pick
Draft Best available forward of either Tatum or Issac and then Smith jr.

Knicks build around Porzingis with a Center whose a good passer and improved defender and add a pg who is pass first and will be like a rondo Boston type. They add Ferguson to develop into a 3-d guy all while getting rid of Noah's contract.

Orl need a couple years to restock talent so landing another top 10 pick jump starts them off, Suns rumoured high on Issac and kings on Fox so let's say for now Tatum falls to 6. Having a core of Smith jr, Tatum and Gordon could be a great restart and 2018 draft is loaded with Bigs so they could grab a Center then and have Biyombo start has his rim protection could complement Tatum and Smith jr scoring. They take on another bad Center contract but when they expire Tatum and smith jr will be due extensions.

NYK and ORL

NYK get Payton and Biyombo

ORL get Noah and NYK 2017 1st rounder

Knicks get rid of Noah's contract they take on Biyombo's but Biyombo is less injury prone and will help take pressure of Porzingis on the defensive end. Payton gives them a young pg who can get the ball to the stars and drive the open lanes.

Magic get Noah's bad contract but they have time to kill as they search for a star and adding another pick gives them a better chance of that.

As much as getting rid of Noah's contract would be fantastic, I don't think that Biyombo's contract and an underachieving Peyton is worth giving up the number 7 pick.

Biyombo has a similar contract to Noah's, and will never live up to it.

2.) 26 Apr 2017 13:57:09
Exactly. This would be a worthwhile deal if it was a mid-late 1st rounder, but 7 is way too high just to unload Noah for that return. I could see that kind of a package being moved for a better player on a terrible team like Lopez though.

3.) 26 Apr 2017 20:46:25
HAHAH rather homer trade nothing but net. Biyombo has the exact same contract. But instead of being a great defender/ rebounder like noah when noah is ever actually healthy, biyombo is a below average center. awful.

NOP-ORL

NOP get Payton

Orl get a 1st rounder either 2018(top 10 protected), 2019(top 5 protected) or 2020 unprotected.

Pelicans let holiday walk get a hometown kid who can get the ball to their stars and will be cheaper giving them more money to keep their stars and add some shooters at sg and sf to help space the floor in the off season. They protect their picks incase Cousins walks.

Magic have Fox in most mocks so that makes Payton expendable so grabbing a future pick would help them continue to build as they only have their own 1st rounders and are lacking a star so grabbing picks and young players should be a priority until they find an identity to start moving forward.

1.) 26 Apr 2017 13:59:39
I'm not sure I would take Fox if I'm the Magic. Tatum is the obvious choice if he isn't taken at 4, but I think I'd go somewhere other than Fox if he is. He seems like he has all the good, and most of the same bad as Payton.

2.) 26 Apr 2017 16:23:00
Peyton isn't good enough to justify letting Holiday walk. They could just use the pick to get rid of Hill and/ or Asik's contracts to open up space.

Min and Orl

Min get Fournier and 25th pick

Orl get 6th pick and Pekovic (exp)

Min do it as thibs is a play to win now coach he will be pushing for the playoffs with Lavine working back from injury adding Fournier gives them a starting sg who helps spread the floor and I'd expect his shooting percentages to increase with wiggins and towns drawing double teams. As their giving up a lottery pick I gave them the 25th pick as mocks have them taking Issac to develop into a stretch 4 at the end of this draft theirs a few guys floating like lydon, Swanigan and Leaf if he falls who could also fill that need.

Orl need to find their star so landing another top 10 pick gives them two chances at finding one taking pekovic expiring contract can be flipped later on and I think Vucevic will be moved as they seem to wanna play smaller and faster so their won't be a log jam at Center before people start commenting on that.

1.) 25 Apr 2017 13:44:41
I was going dog your trade idea, than u think Issac will drop to 25th pick. So at that Point I just gave up.

2.) 25 Apr 2017 14:02:06
He means that the Twolves are projected to pick Isaac at 6.

3.) 25 Apr 2017 14:23:16
Shizzee, I think he was saying that most mocks had them taking Isaac at 6, and was looking at comps to Isaac like Lydon, Swanigan and Leaf at the 26.

4.) 25 Apr 2017 16:57:20
Thanks for paying attention NBA16 and soxfan893.
Min are projected to go for Issac at 6 as they want to use him for stretch 4 potential in most mocks but in this trade they can get a stretch 4 around 25th pick as this is a loaded draft and the 3 ball is becoming more of the modern players arsenal so in this trade they add the floor spacing their lacking in Fournier and a potential stretch 4. Hope this helps clear it up for you shizzee.

5.) 25 Apr 2017 17:19:09
Yeah I think that he was saying if Leaf drops not Isaac, cause lately in mocks Leaf has been raising. But I don't think that Fournier and the 25th is enough for the Timberwolves to trade the 6th pick for. And I also think that Pekovic is eligible for an injury void on his contract so they won't have to worry about him effecting their money.

6.) 25 Apr 2017 17:47:26
If Thibs was truly a win-now coach he shouldn't have gone to Minnesota, he knew what he was getting himself into with all that young talent. I think Issac is perfect for Minnesota as he doesn't just project as a stretch 4 but with the defensive ability he flashed he has unicorn potential. Thibs is a defensive coach so I think he'll value Issac's upside on this end.

Peks contract isn't a issue for Minnesota as he'll likely go into medical retirement as he hasn't played in over a year. I think it would be foolish for them to deal Issac and his upside for Fournier and #25 pick where they'd be getting a "stretch 4" by definition but a very one dimensional player who'd be a liability on defensive end (Thibs is a defensive coach) . Fournier's is a good shooter but his stats are a bit inflated on the Magic and although he is young because he doesn't contribute much outside of shooting/ scoring I don't think his upside is that high.

Mem and Orl

Memphis get Hezonja

Orlando get Baldwin

Memphis are going to be weak at sg Tony Allen is expiring and old, they have no 1st rounder and adding Hezonja who could do with a fresh start and still has some upside as an athletic shooter could be a good pick up for team looking to tightening up around a different core now most of their original pieces are old and expiring.

Orlando add a young pg who has talent as shooter and already has similar numbers to Payton but could carve out a bigger role with potentially higher ceiling as he can shoot the 3 which is needed for a pg and would complement this team better and with their pick moving due to Sixers and kings getting worse they seem to be around the Tatum/ Issac area in the draft which would mean less mins for Hezonja and less chance of them getting one of the top 3 pg's who better fit their team so a sf would be on the cards.

Nothing but Net

1.) 09 Mar 2017 18:02:22
Orlando would need more than just Baldwin.

2.) 09 Mar 2017 18:19:06
I think ideally the Magic would get Dennis Smith but with Kings draft pick falling their is a chance they jump the Magic and take him before they do (I think Sixers will get Monk regardless although if they get Lakers pick too maybe they get Smith)

I don't think Magic are getting enough for Hezonja. I don't think Baldwin would start although its unlikely whomever they draft would (Payton-Fournier-Ross-Gordon_Vucevic lineup) either.

Therefore I don't really see the issue with getting Tatum or Issac especially since both have the length to play pf or sf and Hezonja can play sg or sf. With Jeff Green a FA they don't have a real backup pf and with the team pretty bad they'd be better off playing Hezonja over Meeks at sg so I think between sf and pf slots there should be plenty of minutes for a Tatum/ Issac type.

To get Ibaka.

That's not a rumor, that's a confirmed deal.

Orlando should sign Conley and Horford and see if they can try and keep Fournier.

Conley
Fournier
Gordon
Ibaka
Horford

Obviously this is a stretch but they need to give some hope after this Ibaka deal.

Pretty good for Orlando they get a back up pg, expiring contract and a 1st rounder in a draft that will have Shaq son, Manute Bol son, Giannis Brother, Bagley and of course Zion Williamson

Bad deal for Bulls as they shouldn't be giving up picks especially in what looks like a solid draft class in 2019. They already got robbed I still can't understand why they traded their pick imagine Patton and Markkanen that's two guys who complement each other and both can hit 3's that would have been a great start to a build then if they got their next star in Michael Porter the 6'10 sf next year that's a deadly team with range and size.

Kings have 2 top 10 picks in a loaded draft they need to focus those picks on building.

I don't really like Gordon going as don't think the Magic can afford to lose him and they would be trying to add a sf to complement him and I don't like his fit with the Sixers. Okafor makes no sense his game is pretty similar to Vucevic and they have no need to have 3 starting caliber Centers they couldn't share the minutes with two so three would be even worse. Drafting Monk makes sense as his weaknesses will be hidden on the Sixers which gives him more chance to become a star instead of being the guy on another team which will be a ton of pressure for a guy who can get cold.
I think maybe a deal like this could be done but you'd have to include another team who can offer pieces that fit each team.

This is a really intriguing idea Saric is a safe bet as you've seen his game who would provide them with Shooting, Playmaking and while he's not super athletic he's still a gritty defender. Issac is raw but has tons of potential I personally think his star potential is at sf as he's had a guard like skilll set to match big man height he'd be a match up nightmare at the 3, but a stretch 4 would be a good fit. I think it would come down to how fast Wolves want to be in the playoffs.

Not that I like Biyombo's contract but a underized rim protector makes more sense then having Vuc, Okafor and Markkanen rotation the Magic need to speed up and go small as they looked better towards the end of the season when Gordon, Ross, Payton etc can get out and run. If anything I think trading Vuc makes more sense Biyombo contract will be hard to shift with out taking trash back Vuc is on a friendly contract and doesn't fit the style they need to play by the time they have turned things round Biyombo's contract will be ending and won't matter. They need to stick with their pick or move up if they can to land a star potential player.
