You always seem to forget, trading 101. If you're trading a star player, you want to trade him as far away as possible. The Pels do not want to have to play Davis 6 times a year or more. He will be sent to the East. Where they will see him twice.

Denver doesn't have a 2019 first rounder.
3.) 22 Feb 2019 12:46:39
JoeB (for Boston I assume), why would the Pels care if he stays in the West if the plan is to rebuild with this trade?
Yes, if you’re planning on dealing an AD and then hoping to continue competing, I get your logic, but this is a team that’s out of the playoffs with AD on the team and is likely not a playoff contender after it for a while. Take the best package possible in this scenario, regardless of the conference it comes from.

@JoeB I've posted a few times that my preferred destination for Davis is Boston as long as the package includes Tatum. But distance and opposite conference are offset-able if the return is right. I'm just floating some trade ideas for teams not really considered front runners.

I agree with Triangle, JoeB. If you are a playoff team you send the star to the other conference so you don't play against him in the playoffs (see Spurs/ Leonard) . But if you are a lottery team, you take the best offer no matter where the star ends up (see Kings/ Cousins) . That is what added to made the Kyrie trade to Boston so unusual.

Big pass from Pels.
2.) 20 Feb 2019 01:19:09
Not as good as Boston offer.
3.) 20 Feb 2019 01:46:59
Did the Blazers hire Dell Demps.
4.) 20 Feb 2019 16:36:20
It would have to include Collins and Simons as well at least. All of Portland's assets and firsts.

Pelicans Receive: Kristaps Porzingis, Courtney Lee, Lance Thomas, Frank Ntilikina,Hezonja Knicks 2019 First Round Pick

31 Jan 2019 03:13:20
Pelicans Recieve: Jayson Tatum, Brown Domantas Sabonis, highest two of Memphis, Sacramento, LA Clippers and Boston 2019 First Round Picks.
Pacers Receive: Gordon Hayward, Robert Williams III, potential draft compensation from Boston
Celtics Receive: Anthony Hill,Moore
1.) 31 Jan 2019 04:56:09
Pacers say no i think. They would rather get Brown from Celtics for Sabonis?
2.) 31 Jan 2019 06:05:43
Gordon Hayward is a minus in every trade talk. You have to add picks to clear his salary.
3.) 31 Jan 2019 10:08:29
Celtics laughing as they hang up the phone.
4.) 31 Jan 2019 10:09:25
We want Tatum, if we trade Sabonis and take Hayward ( who would be a good fit in Indy)

The picks would have been useless if they hadnt canned Dell Demmps. He wouldve burned them up in bad trades.
18 Feb 2019 21:08:25
I agree @Fredman.
18 Feb 2019 21:04:50
I don't see Phoenix doing it.
16 Feb 2019 23:31:03
Its ambitious to say the least. I actually like this for Pels because it creates a Trust the Process But also it puts AD in LA but not with the Tamperers.
