Without Millsap signing an extension first (and he wouldn't because it would be bad for him financially), I wouldn't trade McCollum for Millsap based on age and contract length.

Rondo isn't half the player he used to be and could never shoot. Add in his attitude and I don't think Cavs should do this. They may not be giving up a lot of pieces to get him but the luxury tax penalty from taking on his contract is not worth the little benefit he would provide. I think there are better and cheaper alternatives out there.

Unless Chicago just wants to get rid of Rondo and no one else will take him then why else would Chicago do this and gain in their eyes? McRae is the only player in the deal and yes they gain cap space but Cleveland also has to pay extra and adding Rondos contract. luxury tax new record and not even close.

Seems like Chicago does want to get rid of him. He has been benched multiple times and is now completely out of the rotation. Adding a G like McRae and a trade exception couldn't hurt.

Good trade for Houston but really for Sacramento it doesn't get them anywhere. They need to commit to rebuilding but Corey Brewer won't do any good and KJ McDaniels is ok but not what Sacramento are really looking for. Houstons pick will be out of the lottery. No from Kings unless they make another stupid move.

buller i see your viewpoint but at the same time Gay is as good as gone after the year. To get a player with decent upside and defensive potential in mcdaniels and adding 2 picks even if it's a later first round pick is better than nothing.

Can't see chicago doing this as they have multiple years left of Jimmy and Millsap would walk after the year and they really wouldn't set themselves up for the future at all. Schroeder is nice but they would rather have jimmy in the long run.
